Open House Festival has staged an annual Seaside Revival Day, which Bangor Historical Society has been pleased to support. With no event this year, efforts have gone in other directions, including placing blow-ups of old photos and postcards on the hoardings round the major works being undertaken by NI Water.

These are for new waste-water treatment facilities at the foot of Strickland’s Glen and the foot of Brompton Road. With very large numbers of people now out walking the coastal path daily (and far more swimmers at Brompton bathing jetty than before!) the historic photos of our town are drawing much favourable comment. Have a pleasant stroll and see for yourself!
